Let Me Be
By AllwellJuly 23, 20261 min read
Leave my body where it lies Love is lost; now I have no time for What I see and feel for my own A little of my absence, she feels and seeks another I cried with great sadness cause I wouldn't wish for her the same Even when she's out of town But what will tears bring Than more sorrow She wants me no more And I want no other Therefore, I stay where my heart can rest in peace And stay out of those four letters For they are treasures and also agony Let me be at peace by myself For I feel, such happiness is not for me I'll just watch it from afar And have no wishes Leave my body where it lies For love is not for me
